How far has car industry technology come in recent years? From being a luxury way back in the 1930’s to the cheap affordable way you can buy them now using car contract hire it is amazing just how far they have come.
One of the best ways I can talk about this is to use my knowledge of games. With this I am going way back to the days of the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. I could cover the first ever racing game but seeing as I was only really around from the realease of the SNES it is best that I only cover the time after this. F1 pole position was really the first driving game I had ever played and for 1993 it is a brilliant piece of gaming.
There was a massive comparison between the SNES and N64 versions of the game showing just how far the industry had come in a small time of four years. The jump graphically is simply fantastic. The 2-D to 3-D jump that took place between these two games was huge and it shows. The graphics don’t change enourmously until the latest generation of consoles, the Xbox 360 and PS3’s graphics when it comes to driving games look almost realistic.V.
Many changes in the car industry have oviously taken place in the same time of the leaps in the gaming industry. The biggest and best in my opinion isn’t the amazing new Ferrari’s you see being released it is in fact the Hybrid car. Hybrid cars save a lot on energy which, although costing a lot will be useful when all of the world’s oil supplies run dry in a few years. New technology has been put into these Hyrbid cars that enables you to put further charge into the battery when you brake the car.
Admittedly there are some other decent bits of equipment out there like the heated seats and touchscreen media centres, but are they really necessary.
The Hyrbid car is only going to increase in sales (after the recession that is) and will certainly be the car of the future, but for nowl, you need a car that is both decent and afforable. Why not spend less on a leased car? The Audi contract hire looks pretty good as well as being as little as £214 a month.
